Micromoments is an interstitial video learning series that teaches college-level computer science fundamentals in short five-minute episodes. Starring Robart, the robot bartender, who serves up learning and laughs to the patrons of the fictitious Scroll Bar, Micromoments uses animation and edutainment the marriage of education and entertainment to demystify and simplify technical concepts and jargon.
Primarily intended to serve as filler or a sponsored insert for TV educational channels and science/technology shows, Micromoments is also ideal as an audio-visual introduction and icebreaker for traditional stand-up classes.
Each TV episode is supported by a web-based interactive learning module where the Robart character again serves as guide and mentor. In the extended web learning environment, students can study a topic in more depth, take online exercises, and follow links to additional support materials.
